David Wolfe on Hops X Factor (Lucedin) Xanthohumol

Hops X Factor (Lucedin) contains a natural molecule extracted from hops flowers (Humulus lupulus) called Xanthohumol. Hops flowers are most well-known for their use as a flavoring agent and natural preservative in beer. Xanthohumol is a flavonoid phenol compound that has been the subject of over 75 research papers as a potentially longevity-enhancing compound.

Research into Xanthohumol was initially inspired by the study of resveratrol. The active ingredient in Hops X Factor is a prenylated chalcone similar in structure to resveratrol.

Hundreds of scientific studies focusing on resveratrol have been conducted. Discrepancies in the efficacy of resveratrol may be due to the short window of bio-availability upon ingestion, which is only three hours.

Unlike resveratrol and other hops extracts, which are typically not bio-available, Hops X Factor’s xanthohumol, known as Luciden, has twelve hours to reach the cells once ingested.  This is a very important key to the efficacy of Hops X Factor.

Xanthohumol is a prenylated chalcone phenol antioxidant, which some scientists and researchers believe is 200 times more powerful than resveratrol. It has been shown to:

• Lower isoprostanes within 3 weeks in humans by 36% (measured in urine).

• Downregulate aromatase (natural aromatase inhibition).

• Inhibit NF-k B (nuclear factor kappa beta) activation in cells.

• Inhibit phase I cytochrome P450 enzyme which is involved in the metabolic activation of carcinogens.

• Inhibit nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2 production.

Q & A:

Question: Do hops flowers or does Hops X Factor contain phytoestrogens?

Answer: Hops flowers are known to contain some phytoestrogens, however, Hops X Factor contains no phytoestrogens due to the proprietary extraction process it undergoes that isolates Xanthohumol. Xanthohumol is not a phytoestrogen.

Question: Can I take Hops X Factor with other products such as resveratrol or TA65?

Answer: Yes. Hops X Factor is compatible with other anti-aging products.

Question: Does Hops X Factor contain alcohol?

Answer: No. Hops X Factor contains no alcohol or artificial preservatives.

Question: Why should I choose Hops X Factor over other hops extracts?

Answer: Other hops extracts may or may not contain the super antioxidant Xanthohumol. If other products contain Xanthohumol, they lack the proprietary, highly bio-available delivery mechanism of the Xanthohumol found in Hops X Factor. The delivery mechanism of Xanthohumol in Hops X Factor is what makes Hops X Factor unique in the world.

Question: Are there any foods that contain the active ingredient Luciden (bioavailable form of Xanthohumol) in Hops X Factor?

Answer: Yes. Please try Sacred Chocolate’s Longevity Bliss chocolate bar. The Longevity Bliss chocolate bar uses the exact highly bio-available form of Xanthohumol known as Luciden found in Hops X Factor.
